I have been drawing for 25 years. When I started to draw I didn't know any thing about sketchbooks. I started my first in 1995, and I have just startet on sketch book number 23.
I think the time I have spend drawing, and painting in my sketchbooks has been spend well. When I need an idea for a new painting I can all ways turn to my sketchbook.
I don't make pretty drawings in my sketchbook, I draw fast, and if I draw on location, I also takes photos. When I come home I glue the photo into my sketchbook next to the sketches I did. In this way I can work from my sketches as well as my photos.
